Clarify the Proposed Process

- Colour count: confirm spot colours or process colours for the actual artwork and equipment.
- Bag construction: record whether printing happens before or after cutting, stitching, sealing, or lamination.
Compare the Same Artwork and Substrate
Print appearance depends on artwork, substrate texture and colour, ink, plates or screens, registration, curing, lamination, finishing, and normal production tolerances. A method name alone does not establish detail, colour accuracy, resistance, or service life.
- Provide the final artwork in the file format requested for the order.
- Define the print area, number of sides, colour references, and acceptable tolerances.
- Identify small text, fine lines, gradients, photographs, and large solid areas that need evaluation.
- Ask whether seams, folds, gussets, handles, or texture affect the printable area.
Proof and Sample Approval
A digital proof shows layout but does not by itself confirm the result on the production substrate. Agree in writing which approval controls production.
- Review the artwork and dimensions.
- Approve a digital proof for placement and content.
- Where colour or detail is important, request a physical or production-representative sample.
- Record colour tolerance, registration tolerance, inspection method, and the approved reference.
- Keep the signed approval with the order record.
