How to Order Custom-Printed Non-Woven Bags
Custom-print ordering should move from a written bag specification to artwork review, proof, sample approval, production, inspection, and delivery. Supplier requirements vary by the proposed process.
1. Define the Bag
- Material, GSM, format, finished dimensions, seams, handles, and colour
- Intended contents and sample test
- Quantity, packing, and destination
2. Prepare the Artwork
Ask the supplier which file format, colour mode, resolution, fonts, bleeds, and linked assets are required for the exact process. Do not assume a universal file or DPI rule.
- Use only authorised logos, names, contact details, symbols, and claims.
- Define the print area, number of sides, colour references, and placement.
- Identify fine text, gradients, photographs, and other features requiring review.
3. Confirm the Printing Process
Request the actual substrate, ink system, process, colour count, artwork limits, setup, tolerances, and current capability. A method name does not guarantee detail, colour, resistance, or service life.
4. Approve the Proof and Sample
- Approve content, spelling, dimensions, and placement on a digital proof.
- Where appearance or performance matters, approve a physical or production-representative sample.
- Record colour and registration tolerances and the accepted reference.
- Keep written approval with the order.
5. Confirm Commercial Terms
The written quote should cover specification, quantity, minimum order quantity, setup, printing, proof or sample, packing, taxes, freight, payment, validity, production estimate, and delivery.
6. Define Inspection
State the inspection method, sample size, tolerances, evidence, and issue process. Do not assume that every batch receives a particular inspection or photographic record unless the order says so.
7. Check Claims and Intended Use
PP non-woven is plastic. Verify current requirements for the exact product and location. Food, healthcare, environmental, certification, load, and durability claims need product-specific evidence and approval.
